Distance and Communications with Balaganj upazila headquarter : Upazila headquarter is connected by paved road with the district and divisional city of Sylhet. The distance from Sylhet city is 37 km. Balaganj upazila Sadar is 14 kilometers from Kadamtala in Osmaninagar upazila on the Sylhet-Dhaka highway. Fenchuganj Upazila has 19.5 km of road connectivity. Kushiara river flows by the side of this upazila. On the other bank of the river is Rajnagar Upazila of Moulvibazar district. The upazila can be contacted by crossing by water. It also has a 14.4 km road connection with the newly formed upazila of Osmaninagar after being separated from Balaganj upazila. The distance from this upazila to Syedabad bus terminal of the capital Dhaka via Sylhet-Dhaka highway is about 223 km: m: approx. All (06) Unions belonging to this Upazila are connected by paved roads. The means of communication with public life inside and outside the upazila include buses, minibuses, rickshaws, autorickshaws, boats, launches etc.
